アールデコ初期の花かごモチーフとオリエンタルなフリンジがデザインされたコンパクト。純銀にエナメル塗装という高価な仕様ながら、時代を先どるデザインが採用されているため、トレンドに敏感な上流階級の女性の持ち物だったと想像されます。中の機構も珍しく、スナップで中皿を留める方式が採用されています。中皿の取り外しが簡単に出来るので、気分に合わせて持ち歩く色を変えて楽しんでいたのでしょう。

This compact features flower baskets of the early Art Deco period and an oriental fringe. Sterling silver with an enamel coating created a very tasteful piece to suit sophisticated ladies.
